狀語從句考點解析

一、概念

狀語從句是一個句子充當(dāng)另一個句子的狀語，表示主句動作發(fā)生的時間、條件、原因、方式、結(jié)果、目的、地點、比較、讓步等關(guān)系。

1. When I lived there, I used to go to the seashore on Sundays.

2.As it is raining, we shall not go to the park.

3.We should go where the Party needs us most.

4.In order that we might see the sunrise, we started for the peak.

5.It is such fine weather that we all want to go to the park.

二、常見連詞：

時間狀語從句

when, while, as, whenever, since, till, until, before, after, as soon as, the moment/minute/second, immediately/instantly/directly, no sooner…than, hardly….when, every time, by the time, next time, the first time

地點狀語從句

where, wherever

原因狀語從句

because, as, since, now that, considering that, in view of the fact, seeing that, given that

條件狀語從句

if, unless , providing/provided that , as/so long as, on condition that, suppose/supposing that, in case that, only if

讓步狀語從句

as, though, although, even if/though, wh-ever, however, no matter +wh-, whether….or, while

目的狀語從句

so that, in case, for fear that, in order that, for the purpose that, in the hope that

結(jié)果狀語從句

so/such….that

方式狀語從句

as, as if/though

比較狀語從句

(not) as…as, (not) the same as, not so/such…as, the more….the more….

三、狀語從句考查的關(guān)鍵點：

1、把握各連詞的意義。2、注意主句和從句之間的意義邏輯關(guān)系。

Eg：

1. You may use the room as you likeyou clean it up afterwards

2.The medicine works more effectivelyyou drink some hot water after taking it.

一)時間狀語從句常見考查點

1. Mary made coffeeher guests were finishing their meal.

A. so that B. although

C. while D. as if

2.當(dāng)我沿大街行走時，碰巧遇到我的一個老朋友。(漢譯英)

結(jié)論一：when/while/as 做“當(dāng)…..時候”的區(qū)別

1)When +S+V(短暫性)，+主句

2)as 引導(dǎo)的從句有“一邊…一邊”和 “隨著…”

As time goes on ,it’s getting warmer and warmer.

注意：With time going on, it’s…….

3) When/As/ while +S+V(延續(xù)性)，S+V….

注意特殊結(jié)構(gòu)

1. One Friday, we were packing to leave for a weekend away __ my daughter heard cries for help

A. after B. while C. since D. when

3.我正要下班，這時，天開始下大雨了。

I was about to leave work when it began to rain heavily.

4. He had just finished his homework when the light went out.

5. I had just stepped out of the bathroom and was busily drying myself with a towel____I heard the steps.

A. while B. when C. since D. after

歸納：

1)S+ be doing when S+V

正在做……就在那時……

2)S+ be about to do /be going to do when S+V

正要準(zhǔn)備做…..就在那時……

3) S+ had done when S+V

剛好完成…….就在那時……

before

1、The American Civil War lasted four years ______ the North won in the end.

A. after B. before C. when D. then

2、He made a mistake, but then he cor-rected the situation ______ it got worse.

A. until B. when C. before D. as

before從句是高考中的一大熱點，從時間概念上不難作出判斷。注意它的翻譯：在肯定句中一般翻譯成“…(主句的動作)才…(從句的動作)”，如題1;或“還沒有…(從句的動作)就…(主句的動作)”，如題2。

until/till

1) — Was his father very strict with him when he was at school?

— Yes. He had never praised him ___he became one of the top students in his grade.

A.after B.unless C.until D.when

2) Simon thought his computer was broken ________ his little brother pointed out that he had forgotten to turn it on.

A. until B. unless C. after D. because

until / till “直到……止”(肯定句，主句是延續(xù)性動詞);

not…until “直到……才”(否定句，主句是終止性動詞);

until 可用于倒裝句和強(qiáng)調(diào)句，till不用于句首。

Not until I returned did she finish her homework.

It was not until I returned home that she finished her homework.

— Did you remember to give Mary the money you owed her?

— Yes, I gave it to her _______ I saw her.

A.while B.the moment C.suddenly D.once

總結(jié)：the time(當(dāng)……的時刻), the moment / minute / second / instant (一… 就… ), next time (下次), the first time(第一次…的時候), the last time (上次…的時候)，immediately(一…就…), instantly(一…就…), directly(一…就…)等詞或詞組可引導(dǎo)表示時間的狀語從句;還有一些表示習(xí)慣性動作的詞如：every time(每次), each time(每次), whenever(每當(dāng))等也可引導(dǎo)表示時間的狀語從句

總結(jié)：since 注意時態(tài)

二)原因狀語從句

Eg.

1. —Why didn't you come yesterday?

—Because my mum was ill.

【結(jié)論1】①because 表示直接的、必然的原因。回答why問句;

②強(qiáng)調(diào)句中只用because表示原因。It is because…that…

2.既然你回答不了這個問題，那我就問問別人吧。(漢譯英) (since、now that)

3.由于天黑了，我們還是下班吧!(as)

4. Why do you want to find a new job when you have a good job already?

三)條件狀語從句

1.The little boy won’t go to sleephis mother tells him a story.

A. or B. unless C. but D. whether

3、 It is known to all that _____ you exercise regularly, you won’t keep good health.

A. unless B. whenever C. although D. if

四)方式狀語從句

1. Do as you are told to, or you’ll be punished.

2.The old lady treats the boy as if he were her own son.

歸納：方式狀語從句的連詞：as;as if、as though

五)結(jié)果狀語從句

1.She is such a clever girl that we all like her.

2.She is so clever (a girl) that we all like her.

3.There are so many books in the book-store that I don’t know which to choose.

4.I have so little money that I can’t afford the computer.

結(jié)論：常見連詞so / such…that“如此……以至于……”

要牢記下面的幾個句型 ：

①…so +adj. / adv.+that…

②so adj. a / an + n.+that…

③so many / few / much / little(少)+ n. (不可數(shù)名詞或可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù))+that…

④such+a / an+adj. + n.+that…

⑤such+adj. + n. (不可數(shù)名詞或可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù))+that…

【注意】 that 后面必須是完整的句子，即必須要有完整的主語、謂語、賓語。

5. His plan was such a good one_____ we all agreed to accept it

A. so B. and C. that D. as

6.Pop music is such an important part of society _____it has even influenced our language.

A. as B. that C. which D. where

7.Pop music is such an important part of society _____ has even influenced our language.

六、目的狀語從句

1.為了趕上早班車，我們早早地就起床了。

2.以防錯過早班車，我們早早地就起床了。

歸納

【結(jié)論1】 so that / in order that +從句(從句用can / could / may / might + 動詞原形為了……

注意：to do…../in order to do…./ so as to do….

【結(jié)論2】 for fear that / in case that+ 從句(從句可以用虛擬語氣即should+動詞原形)。

七、比較狀語從句

1. According to statistics, a man is more than twice as likely to die of skin cancer _________ a woman.

A. than B. such C. so D. as

4.The boy is taller than his father.

【結(jié)論3】比較級+than 比……更加……

倍數(shù)的表達(dá)句型

1. At a rough estimate, Nigeria is three times the size of Great Britain.

2. At a rough estimate, Nigeria is three times as big as Great Britain.

3. At a rough estimate, Nigeria is twice bigger than Great Britain.

4.The output of this year is three times that of 2008.

5. The output of this year is three times what it was in 2008.

歸納：

(1) A is twice bigger than B.

(2) A is three times as big as B.

(3) A is three times the size of B.

(4)The +n +be+…times what clause

(5) The +n +be+…times that/those of….

【疑難剖析】

1. A is倍數(shù)+adj.的比較級 (larger, heavier, more 等)+than B.

2. A is倍數(shù)+as+adj. 的原級( large, heavy / many, much)+ as B

3. A is倍數(shù)+the+表比較內(nèi)容的名詞(size, weight, area, width, length 等)of B.

注意：句型1的倍數(shù)比句型2、3的倍數(shù)少一倍。

八、讓步狀語從句

1.盡管他很努力，但是還是失敗了(漢譯英)

2.盡管湯姆已經(jīng)盡力了，但還是無法從困境中走出來。(漢譯英)

3.____ volleyball is her main focus, she’s also great at basketball.

A. Since B. Once C. Unless D. While

【結(jié)論1】although / though / while (只能位于句首)雖然;盡管。

【結(jié)論2】as 句型：

①表語(形容詞 / 名詞)+ as / though + 主語+ 系動詞，主句。

【注意】名詞前不加任何冠詞。

②副詞+ as / though+主語+謂語動詞，主句。

③動詞原形 +as / though + 主語+ might / may, 主句。

4.即使明天下雪，我們也要出差。

【結(jié)論3】even if / even though (有一定的假設(shè)意味)即使， 縱然。

5.不管那有多難，我們都要盡力完成。(漢譯英)

【結(jié)論4】 no matter how / what / where / who…， 無論怎么 / 什么 / 哪里 / 誰……

【注意】 no matter 必須和特殊疑問詞連用。

6. Whether you go or not tomorrow, we will go outing.

不管你明天去不去，我們都要去郊游。

【結(jié)論5】whether…or…無論是否……

7. To show our respect, we usually have to take our gloves offwe are to shake hands with.

A. whichever B. whenever C. whoever D. wherever

九、狀語從句的省略

1. We all know that,_____, the situations will get worse.

A. not if dealt carefully with B. if not carefully dealt with

C. if dealt not carefully with D. not if carefully dealt with

十、狀語從句的轉(zhuǎn)化

1. It was April 29,2001Prince William and Kate Middleton walked into the palace hall of the wedding ceremony.

A. that B. when C. since D. before

十一、狀語從句的時態(tài)問題

1、The house could fall down soon if no one______ some quick repair work.

A has done B is doing C does D had done

2、It is almost five years _______ we saw each other last time.

A. before B. since C. after D. when

1.在條件，時間從句和讓步狀語從句中，主句是一般將來時，從句用一般現(xiàn)在時表示一般將來時，用現(xiàn)在完成時表將來完成時，用現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時表將來進(jìn)行時。

2.在 since 引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句中，動詞一般用一般過去時，而主句常用一般現(xiàn)在時或現(xiàn)在完成時。若since從句用had done，則主句用一般過去式。

It is/has been……since S+V(一般過去)

It was …….since S+had done

十二、狀語從句的倒裝問題
