　　Gu,18, was born to a Chinese mother and an American father in the U.S. She first had an idea of competing for China ahead of the 2015World Cup, and went into more detail on the“difficult decision”in 2019. Skier Gus Kenworthy,30.took silver for Team USA in the Sochi 2014 Games and also competed in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics;this year,he competed for his native United Kingdom. Salt Lake City snowboarder Louie Vito, 33, chose to compete for Italy. And like Gu, skater Zhu Yi chose to compete for China in the Beijing Games. The 19-year-old girl was born in California.
